Commons Building At Camp Sarika By Amangiri

Canyon Point, UT
Completed - 2020
Type: hospitality
Role: Sara Lopergolo (Design Partner, Selldorf Architects)

Camp Sarika, part of Utah's Amangiri Resort, offers 10 tent lodgings and a Commons Building in the mesmerizing mesa landscape. The Luxury Frontiers-designed Commons Building comprises dining and spa pavilions nestled into the canyon floor, with a central entry framing views of the mesa walls.

Constructed with cast-in-place concrete that mirrors the nearby resort's materials, the building seamlessly integrates with the canyon rock. Douglas Fir screens, burgundy sun canopies, and blackened steel complete the material palette. Minimal and neutral-toned interior furnishings, in line with Aman resorts' aesthetic, harmonize with the desert surroundings, enhancing the building's natural presence in the mesa landscape.
